Stories from ‘Resound’

In 2013, Music Basti restructured its initiatives to launch the ReSound program. Over a period of 30 weeks, ReSound works through trained musicians with students in classrooms and communities. Since 2013, ReSound has trained over 100 teachers, and worked with over 850 students.

Concerts

Each year, Music Basti’s ReSound program hosts an annual public concert in Delhi that features the original song performances by all the program’s students.

Classrooms

Jaya and Ankit, our students, share their stories about learning in the ReSound program. They work with Music Basti’s teaching artists Krish Jaiman, Pronay Roy and Subhadra Kamath every week at an MCD school in New Delhi in partnership with Teach for India.

Students’ Stories

Parvati is a student at ‘Tarang Kala Kendra’ of the Society for Labour and Development in Kapashera, Delhi. She has been part of Music Basti’s ReSound community music learning program for three years. More stories here.
