I walked into ELevate 2025 as an observer, curious to see what this event was all about. I walked out deeply moved, inspired, and with an unshakable conviction—I needed to be part of this mission. I had heard about Enabling Leadership and the work they do to empower children from underserved communities, but nothing could have prepared me for what I witnessed over the two days of this extraordinary event.
The sheer energy was infectious. Over 800 children had gathered from across the country, each of them carrying a story of struggle, resilience, and an undying will to rise above their circumstances. I saw kids step onto the football field, not just to play, but to prove that they belonged. I watched young musicians take the stage, their voices carrying dreams larger than life. I stood in awe as teams of children built innovative LEGO structures, presenting solutions to real-world problems. It was more than just a competition—it was proof that given the right opportunities, these children could lead, innovate, and inspire.
As I moved through the event, I spoke to students, mentors, and organizers. Every conversation left a mark on me. One young boy, barely 13, told me how EL Play had given him confidence he never knew he had. Another girl, who had traveled miles from a small village, spoke of her scholarship and how it was the only thing standing between her and the education she dreamed of. These weren’t just moments; they were transformations happening right before my eyes.
What struck me the most was the sense of community that ELevate 2025 had created. It wasn’t just about the students; it was about their families, their teachers, and the countless individuals who believed in their potential. Parents on calls were beaming with pride, knowing that their children were getting opportunities they had never imagined. Educators stood alongside them, not just as teachers but as pillars of support, celebrating each success as if it were their own.
The impact of ELevate 2025 wasn’t just in the scholarships worth 25 lakh that were awarded to around 200 students, nor was it in the grand scale of the event itself. It was in the eyes of every child who had finally been told, ‘You matter. You are capable. You can dream beyond these walls.’ It was in the unwavering support from the community, the educators, and the leaders who stood behind these students, pushing them toward a future they once thought impossible.
When the Block Education Officer (in an after event) took the stage to commend Enabling Leadership, he wasn’t just recognizing an organization; he was acknowledging a movement that is redefining education. The commitment from leaders in education, business, and philanthropy was overwhelming, reinforcing that this is not just about a two-day event—it is about changing the trajectory of thousands of lives.
Beyond the competitions, panel discussions sparked thought-provoking conversations on climate change, the future of jobs, and the essential skills needed in the 21st century. The insight shared was invaluable, highlighting how crucial it is to equip these young minds not just with education but with the confidence to tackle real-world challenges.
As I left the venue, my perspective had shifted. This wasn’t just an initiative I wanted to support—it was one I needed to be part of. I found myself reflecting on what true impact looks like. It’s not just about providing resources but about instilling belief, nurturing talent, and breaking cycles that have existed for generations.
ELevate is more than a platform; it is hope, it is courage, and it is the beginning of a brighter, more just world for these children. It is a movement that is changing lives in the most profound ways. Enabling Leadership is doing something truly transformative, and I know now that my journey with them is only just beginning. This is where I belong. This is where change happens.
