At Enabling Leadership, we believe in nurturing the leaders of tomorrow, empowering young minds to tackle real-world challenges with innovative solutions and unwavering determination. Our Impact Projects initiative, spanning across Hyderabad, Bangalore, and other vibrant cities, is a testament to this commitment. These are not just one-off activities; they are part of our Y6 long-term projects, where students go through systematic steps to solve issues around their community.
Today, we want to shine a spotlight on a remarkable project from our Hyderabad team: “Let’s Keep It Clean – Uncleanness,” and how Enabling Leadership is helping them navigate its exciting journey.
The “Let’s Keep It Clean” project is more than just a school assignment; it’s a mission to foster a cleaner, more hygienic environment within communities. Our Hyderabad team, though initially daunted by the scope of an “impact project,” has already taken significant strides by following a crucial, systematic process. They’ve begun by observing the problem of uncleanness, then moved on to identifying crucial resources, and finally, meticulously planning their approach and dividing responsibilities within the team.

More Than Just Cleanliness: Building Leadership Skills
The true value of this project lies in the development of essential life skills. This project is not just about cleanliness—it’s about building leadership, teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills. Our Hyderabad students are learning to:
- Identify real issues within their environment.
- Listen to each other and respect diverse ideas.
- Delegate responsibilities effectively based on individual strengths.
- Make decisions like true young leaders.
This structured process ensures that every step they take, from observation to action, is a powerful learning opportunity.

Overcoming Initial Hurdles with Enabling Leadership's Support
Every ambitious journey comes with its set of challenges, and our young leaders in Hyderabad encountered a few: the initial nervousness about an “impact project,” the difficulty of balancing it with school commitments, and the challenge of engaging all teammates.

This is where the true power of Enabling Leadership comes into play. We equip our students with the tools and mindset to conquer obstacles:
- Gaining Insight: To overcome the initial apprehension, our team delved into insightful videos showcasing how other students successfully tackled similar initiatives. These visual examples transformed uncertainty into inspiration.
- Prioritization: To manage dual demands, the team, with the guidance of their mentors, implemented a structured time management plan, ensuring focused effort on both school and the impact project.
- Team Engagement: For teammates who initially struggled, the leaders proactively shared compelling videos and fostered an inclusive environment by involving everyone in interactive activities like drawing and writing, making each member feel connected to the project.

The Road Ahead: Action and Awareness
The team is driven by a clear objective: to make people aware of the consequences of uncleanness and unhygienic conditions and ultimately promote a hygienic lifestyle.
With the selection, planning, and resource gathering stages complete, the team is set for implementation and monitoring. Their strategic approach ensures success before scaling: they will begin by launching their awareness project within their school class, closely monitoring the initial impact. This experience will inform their next steps as they elevate their message to the full student assembly, prepare for the Elevate League Day presentation, and finally, embark on their community-wide awareness campaign.
They are now preparing for the next milestone: executing their action plan inside the school and documenting their impact. We can’t wait to see their creativity come alive and watch these young leaders shine!
